Founder of Cyprogram. Buea, Cameroon.
Cyril Kimbi
I design and build websites, web apps and mobile apps, from the first sketch to launch day. I founded Cyprogram in 2021. With a partner, I also built eStudyUniverse, a learning app used by thousands of students in Cameroon.
One person across design and engineering. You talk to the person who builds your product, from the first call to the last fix.
What I do
Three jobs most teams split between different people.
Product design
Research, user flows, wireframes and finished screens. A shared design system so every page stays consistent.
Web and mobile apps
Websites, web apps and Android and iOS apps, built and taken live. Sign in, payments, dashboards and admin tools.
Running the project
Scope, price, plan and delivery date in writing before we start. Weekly updates until launch, and support after.
Experience
Remote work for teams in the US, China and across Africa, alongside my own studio.
Jun 2021 to now
Founder and Lead Engineer
Cyprogram, Buea
100+ websites, apps and brands for startups, NGOs and growing businesses in Africa, Europe, Asia and North America. I handle scope, design, build and support on every project.
2022 to now
CTO and partner
eStudyUniverse, Cameroon
I built the web platform, the Android app and the admin tools on my own. My partner leads the teaching and the content.
Apr 2025 to Aug 2026
Software Engineer
ConnectAide, New York (remote)
Shipped new features to a live product, including its API and account security. Owned speed fixes across the app.
Aug 2024 to Jan 2026
Product Designer and Web Developer
Markpedia, Guangzhou (remote)
Designed the company website and mobile app from research to final screens, built the website and kept one design system across products.
eStudyUniverse
Many students in Cameroon cannot find past papers or a teacher for every subject. eStudyUniverse puts GCE and entrance exam preparation on a low cost Android phone.
Works offline
Videos, PDFs and tests download to the phone. Data is expensive and power cuts are common.
Mobile money
Students pay with MTN MoMo or Orange Money. Almost none of them have a bank card.
Free core
600+ GCE past papers are free. 162 entrance exam resources and 18 courses sit on top.
“MAFA helped so much with the online practical sessions… especially physics and chemistry. I was able to learn as though I were in the lab.”
A Level student, 2026 GCE
“I usually took the MAFA and estudyuniverse tests. These tests helped me to identify my weaknesses and study even harder.”
A Level student, 2026 GCE
MAFA is the maths community where eStudyUniverse started.
Other products I built
Designed and built end to end, from the first screen to launch.
ClarioScore
Rent reporting platform. Tenant sign up, identity checks, a landlord portal and subscription plans.
Gluten Free Hub
Food discovery platform with business dashboards and roles. Lead engineer on the whole build.
D and C Memorial Foundation
NGO website, built at a reduced rate for a cause I believe in.
